If you have found yourself here, you probably have thought about recording music at some point. Well congratulations! Your Google guardian angel (or perhaps Facebook fairy godmother) has delivered you here.

 

We found one of the most important elements early on in a band's history is a decent recording to promote the band – this also seems to be the most difficult element to organize. Often there are two options, you either pay big bucks to record at a serious studio, or you may have a friend who owns some recording gear. How many times have you had the conversation:

 

You: “Hey broseph, we need to record a demo,”

Friend: “Hey homes, I’ve got some recording gear, you can do it at my place!”

You: “Yeah, of course we’ll do that! It won’t cost anything! I'm sure we can get organised to do that!”

 

Then, after 2 months of no contact you run into each other at a bar, you have the same conversation again and alas the pointless cycle continues.

 

The reality is that you don’t need a fully professional studio recording just to get the band up and running, BUT you also don’t have the time to wait for the day when you and the friend eventually ‘get around’ to that free recording.

Located in Thornbury, the studio is close to the Melbourne CBD.

 

To make things as easy as possible, all the backline equipment will be supplied at the studio. This includes:

- Drum kit

- Bass Rig

- Guitar Amps

- Vocal PA

 

That way you can just walk in and get straight into playing with minimal set up time.

Drummers should bring their own cymbals and snare, guitarist of course can bring their own amps, but if you want to be quick and easy just use the supplied ones. 

All tracking is done live - the full band at the same time. Vocals can be either done with the band or separately afterwards.
